GLMBA属于上海大学硕士学位课程，其课程设置的特点为综合性、跨学科性强，旨在提高学生在“商业技能” (38学分)、“个人发展与领导力”（7学分）和“职业智慧”(15学分)方面的全面知识。有别于传统的MBA课程，根据功能来分专业方向，GLMBA2008级职业智慧课程将根据未来MBA学生可能的职业发展方向来分专业，即Global Local管理（Management）方向，Global Local创业（Entrepreneurship）方向，Global专业人士（金融）（Financial Expert）方向：
