2. LEGAL PRACTICE
Practiced law in Singapore, Australia ,and the Asia –Pacific region for about 30 years, dealing mainly with civil and commercial law, shipping and maritime law, corporate, finance and banking, and real estate transactions;
Commissioner for Oaths and a Notary Public;
Practiced with the regional law firm of Parker & Parker in Perth, Australia, for a year;
Appointed as an Arbitrator by the Singapore International Arbitration Centre to its Reserve Panel of Arbitrators;

3. LEGAL CONFERENCES
While serving as a State Counsel of the Attorney General's Chambers, attended the following international legal conferences on behalf of the Singapore Government.
The 9th session of the United Nations Conference on International Trade Law; and Conference on Limitation of Liability for Maritime Claims;

4. LECTURESHIP
Lectured civil and commercial law in the English and the Chinese language at the
a) Singapore University;
b) Singapore Chinese Chamber of Commerce & Industry;
c) Singapore Institute of Management;
d) Peking University; and currently
e) Shanghai Normal University, Science and Technology Management College

Between 2001 and March 2004, while in Singapore, conducted lectures to various government delegations from the People's Republic of China who were on study tours:

a) World Trade Organization Law;
b) Conflicts of Law;
c) Control and Regulation of Unlawful Business Activities in Singapore;
d) Singapore's Legal System and Judiciary;
e) Singapore's Anti-Corruption Law and Measures;
f) The Notary Public System of Singapore;

5. AUTHORSHIP
Wrote and published these law books:
a) An English –Chinese Dictionary of Singapore Law (bilingual);
a) Sale & Purchase of Property –Law & Practice (in English);
b) Property Transactions (in English); and
c) Divorce (in Chinese);

Wrote and contributed legal articles (in Chinese) to Peking University's Legal Journal:

“Maritime Law Review”: (1) “Action in Rem in English law”; and “ Mareva Injunction”; and to China's national shipping line COSCOS,
a) “Wrongful Arrest of Ships and Its Liability.”

6. TRANSLATIONS
Translated “Capital Markets and Financial Advisory Services”, a law related textbook for Singapore's College of Insurance, which is under the management of the Monetary Authority of Singapore (Singapore's Central Bank).
