  ALFRED CHEUNG

ALFRED CHEUNG is Director of Reefer Trade at OOCL. Situation in Hong Kong headquarters, his responsibilities encompass marketing, equipment flow and technical support for reefer containers covering all trade lanes on a global basis.

OOCL is accredited with being a pioneer in reefer logistics and transportation, providing cost-efficient reefer transportation for perishables, seafood and meat, in addition to industrial products that require special handling in temperature, humidity and atmospheric control. Alfred's team also provides reefer IT support to customers and focuses on implementing the latest reefer technology.

Alfred has extensive experience in container transportation, port developments, logistics planning, IT applications, human resources and cold-chain management in Japan and overseas. Currently, he is a council member of The Japan Society of Hong Kong, a member of the Yunnan Provincial Committee of Overseas Economic Cooperation & Promotion Association, advisor to Normal University of Yunnan and an external Academic Advisor to the City University of Hong Kong.

After receiving his Bachelor's Degree of Social Science at Chinese University of Hong Kong in 1973, Alfred earned his Master of Arts Degree at Keio University of Japan in 1976, specializing in social systems and statistics.

Alfred is regularly invited to international forums and universities as keynote speaker on global reefer logistics, supply-chain management, human resources and related topics.
