Mr. Julian C. W. Leung
Managing Director, Tracker Venture Investment Co., Ltd.
Mr. Leung is the managing director of Tracker Venture Investment Co., Ltd., responsible for direct investment. He was the Director and Managing Director of a Japanese industrial group, responsible for operations in Hong Kong, Shenzhen and Shanghai, respectively. Mr. Leung worked for AIA Capital Investment (Asia) Ltd., as a Vice President before moving to AIG Investment (Asia) Corporation as Director, Direct Investment for Hong Kong and South China,
with specific responsibility in the formation of a direct investment fund for the Pearl River Delta region. Mr. Leung worked for Asian Oceanic Group where he was Vice President, responsible for direct investment.
Educated in Hong Kong and the United Kingdom, he is a qualified accountant in Hong Kong and the United Kingdom and Australia. Being a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, U.K., Mr. Leung is the former President of the Institute¡¯s Hong Kong Division. He is also a CPA in Hong Kong and a Chartered and Certified Management Accountant, of the U.K. and Australia. He is also a member of the Hong Kong Institute of Securities. Mr. Leung holds an MBA degree from the Richard Ivey Business School at the University of Western Ontario. Mr. Leung attended the prestigious Citicorp Doctoral Program at the University of Hong Kong, as a research student. His research interest includes: strategic management and the role of management accountants; valuation of companies and corporate venturing. Mr. Leung is also an experienced case writer.
He is currently an examiner panelist of the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants¡¯ Final Professional Examination, responsible for financial management and management accounting.
Prior to joining the investment banking industry, Mr. Leung held a number of senior management positions with multinational in Hong Kong companies as Finance Director, Director, General Manager in the industries, including the semiconductors, toys, jewelry, electronics and precision engineering industries.
